"Over a year ago, a Facebook friend posted a stunning sunset photo that he had taken, and it reminded me of the landscape of my childhood: the Upper Ottawa Valley in eastern Ontario. He graciously granted me permission to use his photo as reference for a painting. Since then I have made numerous attempts to capture the vivid colours of this scene in watercolour and failed every time. But I kept refining my attempts and eventually nailed it. I can feel the cold of the approaching night. And yes, the title was inspired by Metallica song lyrics."

Exit Light, Enter Night is an original watercolour painting, mounted on an archival panel with a UV-resistant and moisture-resistant coating, which protects the painting and allows it to be displayed without glass. The archival panel is mounted in a black wood float frame. The image is 6"h x 12"w and is painted on 100% rag watercolour paper. Framed size 8"h x 14"w.
