SUMMER 2022 ART SHOWS
I am delighted to be showing my paintings for the 5th summer at the Miskwaa Open Air Art Show and Sale for all of July and August.
This year the artwork of 15 regional artists will be shown in this shady woodland setting. On sunny days, the paintings will be hung under nature's canopy, and during inclement weather there is an outdoor shelter to display the artwork. A public restroom is available.
In the photo above, you can see me and my artwork beside show host and artist Daniel Marlatt, at his lovely 3-acre property overlooking the Miskwaa Ziibi River. Visitors to the show are welcome to stroll down to the river bank and absorb the soothing sound of flowing water.
The address is 250 Edwina Drive, Trent Lakes, ON (between Bobcaygeon and Buckhorn), off of County Rd 36. Watch for the Miskwaa Gallery highway sign. The show is open daily 11:00 to 5:00 for the months of July and August, rain or shine.

YEAR OF THE GARDEN 2022 ART SHOW
COLBORNE STREET GALLERY, FENELON FALLS
This themed juried exhibition runs July 10 to August 28, 2022
Come to the gallery for the opening reception
Saturday, July 16th from 2-5pm
36 Colborne Street, Fenelon Falls, ON
There will also be a self-directed Garden Tour presented by the Fenelon Falls Horticulture Society (Map and details available at the Gallery)
The Year of the Garden 2022 is a celebration developed by the Canadian Garden Council to educate and inspire Canadians about the vital impact gardens and gardening have on quality of life, at home, in communities, and across Canada. I am most grateful to have my artwork selected for this 2-month group exhibition.
Bare shelves at grocery stores during the last two years resulted in many people growing a vegetable garden, similar to the Victory gardens of the second world war. I think taking concrete action gives people a sense of control in a time of uncertainty. Growing food and flowers in our own yards is profoundly satisfying and provides outdoor exercise, which is vital for our physical and mental well-being.
