"One of our favourite places to camp along Lake Superior’s northern shore is Rainbow Falls Provincial Park near Rossport, Ontario. We’re especially drawn to its beautiful slab-rock and pebble beaches, where the rugged shoreline meets the deep blue waters of the lake. Kayaking around this nearby rocky island is one of our favourite ways to experience the quiet beauty of this remarkable landscape."

Superior Solitude captures the peaceful character of Lake Superior’s north shore, with its rounded shoreline boulders, sunlit granite island, and lush green forest stretching toward the distant hills. The cool blues of the water and sky contrast beautifully with the warm, earthy tones of the rocks, evoking a sense of calm and connection to the natural world.

This original 12 × 12 inch (30 × 30 cm) watercolour on panel is protected with a UV-resistant coating and presented in a classic black wood frame that complements the painting’s natural colours.
